Center for Diplomacy & Development(CDD) hosted a luncheon program at German Homes Hospitality near Gothatar junction. CDD also welcomed
its new members as follows: i.e. Mr. Hari S. Puri, Dr. Him Lal Ghimire, Mr. Hom Bdr. Chhetri, Prof. Dr. Gandhi Pandit, Dr. Manohar L. Shrestha,
Mr. Purushottam Ghimire, Mr. Rabi S. Sainju, Mrs. Samjhana Pokharel, Dr. Shambhu Man Singh and Mr. Thaneswor Bashyal. All our incoming members have
distinguished themselves in their careers. CDD hopes with its expanding horizons to be able to contribute in the areas of topical importance
in our country.

Talk program on Japan - Asian Relations:
Center for Diplomacy and Development and Japan Foundation, New Delhi jointly hosted a Talk program on Japan - Asian Relations with Particular
Importance to Nepal at Hotel Yellow Pagoda in 19 Nov, 2024. Foreign participation included Associate Prof. Abdullah Al Mamun
from Bangladesh and Associate Prof. Debashish Nandy and Ms. Shailey Gupta from India.














Prof.Dr. Meena Vaidya Malla delivering her speech as Chief Guest at the Talk program on Japan - Asia Relations with particular importance to Nepal on Tuesday 19 Nov 2024 at Hotel Yellow Pagoda. It was hosted by Center for Diplomacy and Development and Japan Foundation, New Delhi.
Seminar on Foreign Direct Investment in Nepal : Challenges and Opportunities has been concluded in 12 July, 2023 at the Hotel Himalaya, Kathmandu.
Present on the occasion were Ambassadors and diplomats, Foreign Ministry higher officials, Former Ambassadors, Professors, Business leaders, FIPMO members and other dignitaries from different walks of life. The seminar was successful to apprise real situation of FDI in our country.
AFCAN and CDD organized a seminar on Foreign Direct Investment in Nepal : Challenges and Opportunities on 12 July morning at the Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole.
Hon. N.P. Saud, Minister for Foreign Affairs was the Chief Guest. While delivering his naugural address, Hon. Foreign Minister said FDI is very important for our country to achieve economic growth and to fulfill development objectives.
Guest of Honour His Excellency Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal enumerated Indias´s success story in attracting FDI through series of policy reforms.Ambassador further said that 32% of FDI in Nepal has come from India. .
Chair Ambassador Bhagirath Basnet made a request to find out the real causes which hinders smooth import of FDI in our country.

While co-chair Ambassador Mohan K. Shrestha gave example of Cambodia which has shown an exemplary tract record in attracting FDI. He further said good policies and their effective implementation are requisite for attracting FDI in our country.
Mr. Shankar Singh Dhami, Director of Dept.of Industry made an illustrative presentation on FDI in our country. Mr. Hari Bhakta Sharma, former CNI President analysed the situation of FDI while Dr. Posh Raj Pandey, Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of Finance presented several international and national scenarios connected with FDI.


Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Center for Diplomacy and Development (CDD) signed a MoU in Dec 26, 2022 at CNI Head office.
CDD will provide advisory services to CNI in foreign affairs, economic diplomacy as well as in trade and FDI fields. Further CDD will also extend cooperation to CNi in signature initiatives and nation branding fields as per MoU. President Mr. Vishnu Kumar Agrawal and Amb.Mohan Krishna Shrestha, Founder President, signed MoU on behalf of their respective organizations..
CDD signed MoU with Nepal Development Research Institute (NDRI) to work on diplomatic and development issues on June 22, 2022.
Center for Diplomacy and Development signed a MoU with Nepal Development Research Institute (NDRI) on June 22, 2022 with objectives to enhance cooperation and collaborative spirits to work in diplomatic and development issues. NDRI is an esteemed institute with bevy of scholars with Msc and Phd degrees who have accomplished pioneering research studies in different fields in our country. NDRI is led by Dr. Nawaraj Khatiwada. Present at the ceremony from CDD were Dr. Mitra Bandhu Poudel, Vice President and Mr. Shankar P Pandey, Executive Member. Similarly, from NDRI Prof. Dr. Tara Nidhi Bhattarai, Founder, Dr. Jaya K Gurung, Dr. Rabita Shrestha Mulmi, Dr. Manjeswari Singh, General Secretary and Dr. Shanker Shrestha, Executive Director and other top executives were present. Besides official relations, we developed a good camaderie to facilitate our common works smoothly.
